2022 Training Competent Personnel for the BRICS Industrial Internet Program Application Guide
Background
At present, BRICS countries have reached a consensus on building the PartNIR, and the new growth points of cooperation are mainly found in scientific and technological innovation, digital economy and green economy. Thus, Industrial Internet will become an important direction for BRICS countries to deepen exchanges and cooperation.
This training program aims at cultivating high-level innovators in the field of Industrial Internet for BRICS countries and further fostering the upgrading of Industrial Internet industry, innovation and development on science and technology, and transition to a digital economy.

Details on the Seminar
I. Participants

1. Representatives of government department from the BRICS.

2. Enterprise managers and technicians from the BRICS who hope to engage in digital transformation initiatives.

3. Researchers from research institutions, universities and think tanks of the BRICS, or overseas students from the BRICS. Note: Offline training is open only to the participants who have are currently in China.

II. Number of Trainees and Means of Lecturing

1. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a combination of online and offline training will be adopted. We will enroll:

(1) 50 offline trainees from the BRICS who are now in China. Means of lecturing will include face-to-face lectures, seminars, on-site study tours, etc.

(2) 100 online trainees from the BRICS through ZOOM. Online trainees can communicate and interact in real time.

2. The courses will be recorded and the video playback will be available all the time on the official website of the BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center (www.bricspic.org).

III. Language

All courses are taught in Chinese, and will be translated into English simultaneously.

VI. Related Costs

The BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center will fund offline trainees’ trip to and from Xiamen (domestic travels only), and provide accommodation and meals for offline trainees during the program. Online training will be free of charge.

VII. Certificate

Upon completing the training, the trainees will be awarded a training-completion certificate issued by the China Academy of Industrial Internet.

Notices for Offline Trainees
Guideline to COVID-19 Containment
[Checklist before departure]

1. Trainees who have travel or residence history in medium- or high-risk areas in China or have direct contact with people from such areas in the 14 days immediately preceding departure shall cancel the trip;

2. Trainees with symptoms such as fever (body temperature above 37.3℃), cold, fatigue, cough, sore throat, runny nose, diarrhea, vomit or with other illnesses suspected of COVID-19 shall cancel the trip;

3. Take a nucleic acid test at a local institution one day before departure;

4. Download in advance the APP for acquiring the latest information on COVID-19 prevention and control (Note that different regions use different APPs.). Fill in and double-check your personal information in the APP, and find your Health QR Code, Digital Travel Records, and nucleic acid test results from the APP;

5. Trainees are expected to strictly follow the guideline to epidemic containment listed in the brochure throughout the training sessions.

II. Transportation Guide

1. Arrival by Airplane

(1) Take a taxi to the hotel (about 35 yuan).

(2) If you are at Terminal T3, take the No.27 Bus to Feikuang (非矿) Station, and walk about 100 meters to the hotel.

(3) If you are at Terminal T4, take the No.1 or No.2 BRT to Longshanqiao (龙山桥) Station, then take the No.30 Bus to Feikuang (非矿) Station, and finally walk about 100 meters to the hotel.

2. Arrival by Bullet Train

(1) If you are at Xiamen Railway Station, taking a taxi to the hotel takes about 12 yuan. If you are at Xiamen North Railway Station, taking a taxi to the hotel takes about 65 yuan.

(2) If you are at Xiamen Railway Station, take the No.28 or No. 43 bus from Wucun Bus Station (梧村车站) to Feikuang (非矿) Station, and then walk about 100 meters to the hotel.

(3) If you are at Xiamen North Railway Station, take the subway Line 1 to Hubin East Road Station (湖滨东路), and exit from 1B. Walk to Hubin Sili Station (湖滨四里) to take the No.20, No.28, No.43, No.99, or No.951 bus to Feikuang Station (非矿), and finally walk about 100 meters to the hotel.

Profile of Lecturers
He is a PhD in engineering, a senior engineer and the chief engineer of China Academy of Industrial Internet. His main research interests focus on mechanical manufacture and automation, standardization of electronic components, and Industrial Internet. He is also an industry expert in electronic components and the related basic products, and an industry specialist in standardization. Meanwhile, he serves as the secretary general of the National Printed Circuit Standardization Technical Committee, a committee member of the National Information Technology Standardization Technical Committee, the secretary general of the Innovation Center of Industry-Education Integration in the Internet of Things, the secretary general of the Professional Committee on Industrial Internet, the Industry and Information Committee for Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, and an external PhD supervisor in Yanshan University. As the project leader, he has undertaken more than 40 national major projects, basic studies on technology and other key projects. He has developed a number of major standards and published over 60 research papers, among which he is the first author to more than 40 ones.
