The fifth BRICS Policy Lecture focusing on China-Brazil relations kicked off
On
the morning of December 2nd, the 5th BRICS Policy Lecture hosted by Xiamen BPIC
Leading Group Office was held online.
Earlier, former Brazilian PresidentLuiz Inácio Lula da Silva,
candidate of the Brazilian Workers' Party, was elected as the new president of
Brazil. In order to better understand him and the development trend of
China-Brazil relations, the lecture was delivered by Niu Haibin, director and
Associate Research fellow of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies of the
Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, sharing his views on the theme
of "Lula's Third Term and the Prospect of China-Brazil Comprehensive
Strategic Partnership". Based on the perspectives of Lula's personal
growth and political experience, the background of Brazil's presidential
election and the opportunities of China-Brazil partnership, Niu analyzed the
influence of Lula's third term on the future development of China-Brazil
relations and interpreted the measures of building BPIC for China-Brazil new
Industrial partnership.
The lecture was live-streamed
simultaneously through APP, Wechat program and other platforms. As of December
2, the cumulative page views of all platforms exceeded 1,604 million.
