On September 9, the 2nd BRICS Digital Economy Dialogue was held in Xiamen, focusing on the theme "Deepening Cooperation in the Digital Sector and Sharing Opportunities in the Digital Economy" and focusing on the construction of digital infrastructure, the establishment of a digital trade eco-system, and the experience and practice of digital transformation of industries as a means to share cutting-edge perspectives and seek common development cooperation.

With the goal of promoting BRICS countries to jointly create a fair and open digital development environment and establish high-quality partnerships in the field of digital economy, the dialogue will discuss in depth the digital economy development policies and strategic planning of BRICS countries. Participants suggested that BRICS countries should engage in practical cooperation in areas such as the digitization of trade documents, the effective enhancement of the level of trade facilitation, the acceleration of the interconnection of standards in the digital field, the strengthening of infrastructure investment cooperation, and the active participation in the formulation of international rules and standards for the digital economy in order to protect the common interests of developing nations.
