On 8 December, the closing ceremony of the 2023 BRICS Excellence Training Workshop on New Industrial Revolution Technology and Governance was held in Beijing, hosted by BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center, organised by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and co-organized by Xiamen University. So far, 22 government officials, experts, scholars, and business elite from 21 countries including Russia, Argentina, and Ethiopia in the fields of industry, communications, digital economy, etc. have completed the 26-day course.

Starting in Xiamen on 15 November, the workshop focused on the technology and governance of new industrial revolution, integrated China's practical experience such as new industrialisation and modern industrial system construction and designed 9 special lectures and 15 on-site teaching courses. Reputed experts and scholars in the fields of China’s new industrialisation and digital transformation were invited to give lectures and conduct discussions on topics including artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, clean energy, digital infrastructure, and digital transformation of small- and medium-sized enterprises.

The course combined characteristic practices of the new industrial revolution in Xiamen, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Jiaxing, and Beijing and organized visits to parks, factories, and campuses to experience fruitful results of the development of cutting-edge technologies in China’s new industry.
